LLRULE Journals — The Movement
YOUR MILES BELONG HERE
The Movement Stories is written by the people wearing the gear. This is how you get featured.
The Movement Stories features real LLRULE customers and community members: their trails, their rivers, their daily miles, told in their own words with their own photos, credited by name. To be featured, email your story and three to five photos to hello@llrule.com. We shape it with you, you approve every word before it publishes, and the byline is yours.
What is The Movement Stories?
Every other journal we publish has an author on staff. TRAILHEAD runs the trails, THE DRIFT reads the water, FIELD GUIDE explains the gear. This one is different. The Movement Stories is the room in the house we built for you: the runner whose quarter-zip has seen three winters, the angler who wears the same crew on every float, the family whose youth windbreakers have outlived two growth spurts.
We named the whole journal ecosystem The Movement because that is what this brand was built to be: not a logo, a direction. A movement without people is just marketing. So this masthead stays empty until real people fill it, and we would rather it grow slowly and true than fast and fake.
"We would rather this page grow slowly and true than fast and fake. Every story here is a real person, credited, who approved every word."
What kind of stories get featured?
Anything where the life is the story and the gear just happened to be there. The trail you run before work and what it has taught you. The river that humbles you every season. The garment-dyed piece that has faded into something nobody else owns. A move, a comeback, a first summit, a slow Saturday. You do not need to be an athlete and you do not need to be a writer. You need a true story and a few honest photos.
How do I submit?
Email hello@llrule.com with the subject line "Get Featured." Include your first name (and Instagram handle if you want it credited), where you are from, three to five photos you took and have the rights to share, and the story in your own words; bullet points and voice-memo transcripts are welcome. Tell us which LLRULE pieces show up in the photos if you know them, and anything you would rather we leave out.
What happens next: we write the feature in the same format as every LLRULE journal, send the full draft back to you, and change anything you want changed. Nothing publishes without your written yes. Featured members get the permanent article, full credit and links to their accounts, and first looks at new releases before they drop.
Wear the Story First
Most features start with a piece that earned its fade: the full collection is where they begin, the Eternal Collection is what most of them become. And remember: ten percent of every order already gives through The 10% Pledge, so your miles give before they start.
The first story in this room was about who we give to. The second one should be about you. Send it in.
Questions, Answered
How do I get featured by LLRULE?
Email hello@llrule.com with the subject "Get Featured," three to five of your own photos, and your story in your own words. The team shapes it with you and you approve the final draft before it publishes.
Do I need to be a customer to be featured?
Features center on people who live in the gear, but the story comes first. If your story fits The Movement and the photos are yours, send it in.
Do I keep the rights to my photos?
Yes. You keep ownership; by submitting you grant LLRULE permission to publish them in your feature with credit. If you ever want a feature taken down, email us and we will remove it.
Is there a deadline?
No. Submissions are open year-round and features publish as they are ready.
